LEADERSHIP:
Gina Martin – President & CEO
Gina Martin is a Southern Californian native and attended local colleges while majoring in Business Administration – Entrepreneurship. Her career began in the human resources staffing field and quickly changed to the litigation field where she started as an accounts payable and receivables manager at a boutique law firm in Los Angeles. Martin was promoted to the Assistant Office Administrator at the same law firm, supervising the firms support staff and eventually assumed the role of Office Administrator. Martin was responsible for the management of all firm business operations including accounting, human resources, information technology, trial venue management, partner level travel, office lease and tenant improvement negotiations as well as management of 22 support personnel.
Ms. Martin joined Quaere in 2003 as a Vice President, responsible for accounting management, human resources, office support management, and information technology. After serving in this position until 2009, she assumed the roles of President & CEO on November 1, 2010. In her current role, Martin is responsible for the strategic direction and expansion of the company; its strategic partnerships; information technology and supervision of all research functions of Quaere experts.
Matthew Brady – Founder & Qualified Manager
Matthew Brady is a Southern California native who attended local colleges where he majored in Business Administration and Criminal Justice while performing as an NCAA scholarship athlete. His investigative career began as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff where he worked multiple assignments in custody and patrol. Brady sustained a serious on-duty injury forcing his retirement and transition to the aerospace and security industry where he served as a Senior Investigator for a Department of Defense (DoD) contracted aerospace company. After the aerospace industry downsizing of the mid-1990’s, Brady transitioned to serve as the Assistant Director of Operations in the local horse racing industry where he was responsible for executive management of several hundred unionized employees. He then joined a regional independent claims adjusting firms as a Senior Investigator/Claims Adjuster followed by a position of Director of Product Liability for a national third party administrator. At the urging of several clients, Brady established his first private investigative firm in 1995 which grew from a sole proprietorship into a premier investigative and security consulting powerhouse serving the southwest. This growth and market position prompted a national competitor to purchase the firm, retaining Brady as an Executive Vice President responsible for all West Coast operations. Brady founded Quaere on September 10, 2001 and has grown the firm into a premier provider of investigative and security consulting services across the western United States.
In addition to managing a vibrant and growing business Brady has dedicated years of service as a board member for a local children’s charity; chaired several school district advisory committees focused on school safety, security and emergency management; and he has served as the chair of local and regional PTA committees in support of student success. Brady is a member of multiple professional organizations including California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI), Professional Investigators of California (PICA), Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI); Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI); American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), FBI's InfraGard® Members Alliance, Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA), and Sheriff’s Relief Association (SRA).
CASE MANAGERS:
Arman Nshanian:
Arman Nshanian was born in Armenia and immigrated to United States when he was nine years of age. He was raised in Montebello and attended Citrus College where he played collegiate waterpolo. Arman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of California - Riverside and was a Deputy Sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for 15 years serving in various assignments including custody, patrol, patrol training officer and school resource officer. Nshanian possesses an advanced POST Certificate and has been trained in general investigations, collision investigations and several others. Arman handles both insurance claim and litigation matters in addition to coordinating specialty assignments to Quaere affiliated investigators across the country and internationally.
Auston Caudillo:
Auston Caudillo is a Southern California native having been born and raised in Yorba Linda. He attended Arizona Western College in Yuma and University of Akron in Akron, OH where he was a scholarship soccer player. Auston holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University. He joined Quaere, Inc., after holding various positions outside the investigative services industry. He is applying his formal education in criminal justice and investigations to work on behalf of our clients handling insurance claims and litigated matters in addition to coordinating specialty assignments to Quaere affiliated investigators across the country and internationally.
Raphael Bornstein:
Raphael Bornstein was born and raised in Quebec, Canada and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physical Education from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Raphael is a strategic-thinking leader with an exemplary record of leading teams at high performance automobile dealerships for such iconic brands as Saleen, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Audi and Lamborghini. Raphael led multiple sales teams and served as the general sales manager at several exotic vehicle dealerships and possesses an incredibly in-depth knowledge regarding performance automobiles as well as customer service and dealership management systems. Raphael brings a wealth of knowledge to Quaere, Inc. where he primarily handles product liability investigative matters.
SAFETY & SECURITY EXPERTS:
Dave Ellis - Safety & Emergency Management
Dave Ellis is a native of Southern California. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Studies from CSU-Long Beach and has attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Dave is a strategic-thinking leader with an exemplary record of leading teams in the areas of public safety, emergency preparedness, team/relationship building, communication and fiscal responsibility. Dave provides Quaere clients clear, concise and comprehensive safety and security advice and works cross-organizationally to develop and implement comprehensive safety / security plans. He also serves as an expert witness for clients seeking a comprehensive understanding of fire department response, operations and management. Mr. Ellis previously served as the Fire Chief for the City of Long Beach and brings over 25 years of firefighting experience to our clients.
Andrew Carlson, CPP, CBCP - Safety / Security / Training & Business Continuity
Andrew Carlson is a security and continuity advisor with over 15 years of specialized experience conducting security risk and mission assurance assessments, consulting to DHS, law enforcement and corporations on sensitive issues and building rapport with critical infrastructure owners and operators in order to enhance enterprise, community and national security. Experience analyzing complex processes, identifying gaps in process objectives and providing solutions to reduce risk in overall mission performance. Mr. Carlson has conducted over 500 security vulnerability assessments and provided out briefs and reports to C-suite executives. Mr. Carlson is a member of the United States Air Force ParaRescue community, the DoD recognized experts in personnel rescue and recovery. Carlson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from University of San Diego, is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) in addition to holding certificates in Weapons of Mass Destruction Preparations from Henley-Putnam University and a Certificate in Information Security Foundations and Strategy from the University of Southern California. Mr. Carlson is an instructor at the University of California-Los Angeles National Education Safety and Security Institute (NESSI) where he developed the curriculum for and provides course instruction to K-12 school administrators on security vulnerability assessment and security management.
